Pool Availability & Safety Notice

Aquatic availability is subject to change due to factors beyond our control, including:

• Hazardous air quality

• Lightning or severe weather

• Mechanical breakdowns

• Unexpected sanitation or biohazard incidents

Smoke & Air Quality Policy

To protect the health and safety of our patrons and staff, pool operations will be suspended when the local Air Quality Index (AQI) reaches 151 or higher ("Unhealthy").

Why this threshold? Our facility relies heavily on high school-aged lifeguards who must perform strenuous duties outdoors. In alignment with Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) guidelines for outdoor youth sports, restricting active outdoor exposure at AQI 151+ protects our young staff and vulnerable community members from the detrimental health effects of extended smoke exposure.
